What's the WIFI Like?

If you are renting an apartment be sure to have a Wifi router if working online generally I have been working here for two years and the wifi is the same if not better than in England

( Recommend Orange or WE )

Hurghada Travel Guide

1. Tourist Visa:

In-Person: If you prefer to get your visa upon arrival, be sure to carry Cash. The Cost is supposed to be $25 USD per person (If you are from England then take 25 GBP per person just in case) GBP USD Euro all accepted

(There is an ATM on arrival that you can change for Egyptian but the exchange rate is bad and a charge be sure to use an ATM outside a Bank )

How to Obtain Online

Online: The easiest and most convenient way to get your visa is through the official Visa2Egypt website. You'll need to upload a copy of your passport and a passport-sized photo (max 5MB). Processing time is usually around 48 hours, but it can take up to a week.

Important Note: Beware of fake visa websites if applying online. Only trust Visa2Egypt.

At Arrival: With an e-visa, you can proceed directly to passport checks. The immigration officer will collect your e-visa and stamp your passport. This stamped visa in your passport will be required for verification during your stay.

2. Egyptian Currency:

Currency: Egyptian Pound (EGP).

Obtaining Currency: If you're traveling from the UK or Italy, you won't be able to get Egyptian pounds before your trip. You'll need to withdraw EGP from local ATMs, which are available both inside and outside the airport. ( There is green machines everywhere they are not good bad exchange rate and charge you for taking money out...

Only go to the banks or in some hotels they have them but again don't use the green looking ones....

Additional Tips

3. SIM Card:

To stay connected, we highly recommend getting a local SIM card upon arrival. There are several providers in the airport, and a local SIM will help you navigate, communicate, and access the internet during your stay. ( Orange and WE are my recommendations )

4. Transportation:

Book an Uber or Indrive: For safe and reliable transportation, consider using ride-sharing apps like Uber or Indrive. These services are widely available in Hurghada and offer a convenient way to get around the city without the hassle of negotiating fares with local taxi drivers. ( They will try to charge more please don't give in maybe leave them a 50EGP Tip )

I have added a map with all the places to see and visit

Must have apps

UBER - Great for getting around all drivers will try to charge more and want cash don't be afraid of them the price is the price on the app local Egyptians never get asked for more why should tourists

Indrive - Like Uber better for City to City travel Prices and you get to select the car they also offer delivery services

Tallabat - Like Delivero just to be sure to get the address correct ask you're landlord or Hotel

8orders is basically the same as Talabat however has some better choices
